Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter/Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, construction, and related trades, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on RV and park model certified tinyhomes utilizing a wide range of tools and techniques to deliver high-quality craftsmanship. The Carpenter/Joiner will collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards and building codes.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed.
- Construct frameworks, cabinets, flooring, and general carpentry
- finishing tasks with precision.
- Install doors, windows, cabinetry, flooring, and other fixtures according to specifications.
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and insulation.
- Assist with all aspects of and construction and painting when necessary.
- Estimate material needs and assist with construction estimating processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry or construction work is a plus.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics is essential.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and sanders
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and material calculations.
- Ability to perform caulking, flooring installation, cabinetry installation tasks effectively.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds), stand for extended periods, climb ladders or scaffolding as needed.
- Valid certification or relevant licensing is preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements.
