Journeyperson Electrician
About the Role
Join Edmonton’s largest framing company as a Journeyperson Electrician, supporting our growing Electrical division on residential construction projects. In this hands-on role, you will be a key player in meeting production schedules while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. You’ll work alongside apprentices and other trades to deliver safe, efficient, and on-time homes across Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete residential electrical installations in accordance with drawings, instructions, production schedules, and quality standards.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable Canadian electrical codes and company procedures.
- Perform electrical service work and install main electrical services on new home builds.
- Maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness on all job sites.
- Identify and correct deficiencies to minimize rework and callbacks.
- Guide and support apprentices through day-to-day mentorship and promotion of proper workmanship.
- Communicate proactively with the Electrical Manager regarding production, quality, or scheduling.
- Ensure required materials and tools are available prior to and during installations.
- Collaborate with other trades and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Alberta Journeyman Electrician certification (Required).
- Solid knowledge of residential electrical installations and service work.
- Strong technical skills with high attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
- Must supply basic hand tools.
Working Conditions
- Physically demanding work in residential construction environments.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent use of hand and power tools.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and construction hazards.
