Located in a 64000 sq ft nuclear bunker, Freedom Ledger Financial Inc. is dedicated to giving its occupants the safest experience out there. We are renovating and constantly updating our space to make it into the most desirable bunker in Canada.
Freedom Ledger Financial Inc. is currently seeking a general laborer to fulfill a construction backlog in our facility in Debert, Nova Scotia.
Position: General Labourer - Full time and 6 month contracts
Hours: 40 weekly
Wage: $20/ hrs
Job Requirements:
- You love to see things get done and can work with others to have something you can be proud of.
- Tools are your thing. You have no trouble picking up any kind of tool and mastering it in a variety of situations.
- You are the person friends call when they need to lift/move/carry anything heavy.
- You have experience in a variety of tasks from drywall, painting, light mechanical, metalworking, to other construction.
- Ability to work individually or with a team to accomplish tasks in a timely fashion.
- You may even have certifications like WHMIS, First Aid etc.
- When you get things done, you put safety first and willingness to follow basic safety rules
- Able to work in a cold and hot environments.
- You got the kind of common sense that is not common.

Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior demolition of residential and commercial structures.
- Safely remove walls, flooring, ceilings, fixtures, cabinetry, and other building materials. Load, unload, and transport demolition debris and materials.
- Lug, move, and dispose of heavy furniture, appliances, and equipment from job sites.
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as sledgehammers, pry bars, reciprocating saws, and jackhammers.
- Assist with site preparation, setup, and cleanup before and after demolition work.
- Sort and separate materials for recycling, salvage, or disposal.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with loading trucks, dumpsters, and disposal bins.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Identify and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Support other construction and labor duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50–100+ lbs with assistance when required).
- Comfortable performing repetitive manual labor in various weather and site conditions.
- Ability to move heavy furniture, appliances, and construction materials safely and efficiently.
