As a Rental Store Associate at OnSite Rentals, you are on the front line of the customer experience. You’ll prepare equipment for reservations, support customer pick‑ups and returns, and ensure every piece of equipment is safe, clean, and rental‑ready.
This role blends hands‑on equipment work with strong customer interaction. You’ll help customers choose the right tools, explain safe operation, and turn equipment quickly to maximize availability and performance.

Greet customers and support check‑in and check‑out transactions

Walk customers through equipment use, safety, and accessories

Inspect returned equipment for damage, functionality, and safety

Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs to turn equipment quickly

Coordinate with Store Leads and Mobile Field Technicians as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe rental area

Use OSR systems to manage rentals, contracts, and fleet status
Customer Experience

Help customers select the right equipment and accessories

Ensure customers understand safe and proper equipment operation

Support fast, efficient, and accurate rental transactions

Build positive relationships with repeat customers
Rental Operations

Prepare and stage equipment for reservations and pickups

Execute check‑in and check‑out processes with accuracy

Inspect equipment for damage, wear, and safety compliance

Clean and “turn” equipment quickly for the next rental

Perform minor repairs and adjustments to maintain rental readiness

Maintain accurate system updates for fleet status
Safety & Compliance

Ensure all equipment meets safety standards before rental

Educate customers on safe operation and proper use

Maintain a clean, hazard‑free work environment

Follow all OSR safety procedures and guidelines
Store Standards & Efficiency

Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and presentation

Support efficient workflows and quick equipment turnaround

Assist with inventory organization and tool storage

Contribute to a high‑performing, team‑oriented environment
Collaboration

Work closely with the Rental Center Lead to support store performance
-
Partner with Mobile Field Technicians on fleet readiness and repairs
-
Communicate clearly with team members to ensure seamless operations
-
1–3 years of customer‑facing experience (retail, rental, or similar)
-
Basic familiarity with tools and equipment preferred
-
Mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance and minor repairs
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
