Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, making them feel comfortable and valued from the moment they walk in.
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS, and coordinate seating to optimize flow and reduce wait times.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant, reservations, and wait times.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring menus, reservation lists, and seating charts are up-to-date.
- Assist with guest inquiries and special requests, demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Support the serving staff by managing table assignments and communicating guest needs clearly.
- Uphold all health and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for both guests and team members.
Skills
- Proven experience in guest services or hospitality roles within a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally.
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for managing reservations and billing processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that enhances guest experiences.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous restaurant experience or hotel experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key.
- Familiarity with food service procedures and hospitality standards to support team operations effectively.
