We are looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to engineering drawings while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components according to specifications.
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials before welding.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
- Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing work as required.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, and drills.
- Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assist with general production and fabrication duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience welding mild steel; stainless steel experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- CWB Welding Certification is an asset.
- Experience with metal fabrication and assembly.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is an asset.
