About the Role
We are looking for a Site Maintenance Worker to join the team. The Site Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning, general equipment and landscape maintenance of Matonabee sites.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Basic maintenance and cleaning of sites and facilities
- Daily and weekly site inspections
- Travelling between sites as required using a company vehicle
- Oil/water separator inspections, maintenance, and paperwork
- Clean up and disposal of minor spills
- Emptying recycling and garbage receptacles
- Handling of packaged lubricant products
- Filling propane cylinders
- Yard maintenance, including lawn care
- Generate maintenance request forms when repairs are needed
- Complete maintenance items for the cardlocks
- General painting and clean-up of buildings
- Emergency preparedness as per the company's emergency response plans
- Participate in safety meetings and initiatives as assigned by supervisors
- Assist other departments when asked and duties permit
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license, with a clean 5-year driver’s abstract
- Physically able to complete associated tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Self-starter able to identify areas requiring attention and able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Willing and able to work overtime as needed
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must pass a company-approved medical exam, including drug and alcohol testing
