About the role
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of commercial and credit card accounts while helping customers maintain healthy accounts and minimizing financial risk for the business. This position combines credit analysis, collections, relationship management, and problem-solving, giving you the opportunity to make informed decisions while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
What you'll be doing
- Manage a portfolio of commercial and credit card accounts
- Review customer accounts and assess credit risk
- Recommend appropriate credit limits and payment terms
- Monitor outstanding balances and proactively manage collections
- Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Review aged receivables and identify accounts requiring follow-up
- Maintain accurate customer credit files and documentation
- Process account adjustments and pre-authorized debit transactions
- Partner with the Credit Manager to review and update credit terms
- Coordinate collection activity with third-party agencies and legal professionals when required
- Ensure company credit policies are consistently applied across your portfolio
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who is analytical, customer-focused, and confident making sound business decisions.
You'll be successful if you have:
- Diploma or degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of Credit, Accounts Receivable, or Collections experience
- Experience managing a high-volume commercial account portfolio
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in both English and French (required)
