Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves working on roofing projects and supporting various construction tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn and contribute to team success. Prior experience in construction or handyman work is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in roofing, carpentry, and general construction.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, Flat roof membranes, and other roofing supplies
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate execution of work
- Use caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, trimming, and other structural components
- Maintain safety standards by using proper protective equipment and following safety protocols
- Help with general construction tasks, including site cleanup, material handling, and minor handyman repairs
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools, carpentry, or general construction preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks on a daily basis
- Knowledge of blueprint reading is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Handyman experience is a plus for supporting diverse project needs
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow safety guidelines
- Prior experience in roofing or related trades is beneficial but not mandatory
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adhere to safety standards
Pay: $25.00-$39.30 per hour
