Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport goods across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and efficient delivery. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely and secure deliveries, supporting the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies
- Transport goods to designated locations efficiently and on schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Load and unload cargo, sometimes requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during transportation activities
Skills
- Proven experience driving heavy trucks or commercial vehicles
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best driving practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading cargo
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and punctuality
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to stay alert during long hours of driving and maintain focus on road safety
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
