We're a teamwork-minded crew with a heavy focus on customer service. We build excellent draught system technicians and we're ready to train our newest team member.
About the job
You'll start by learning our cleaning process and basic draught-system maintenance. Depending on your experience, you'll be paired with one of our senior techs for several weeks to learn the ropes. Over time, you'll join us on system installations and learn the process of transforming a blank fridge and bar top into the perfect spot to enjoy a pint.
No two days are the same at Beer Tech. One day you'll work alone focusing on small systems and kegerators, and the next you'll work with whole team at one of our larger clients' locations. We have customers from Shelburne to Antigonish, so you'll get to see a fair piece of the province each month.
Most days we work 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but we all pitch in to help when emergencies arise after hours. Once your training is complete, you'll be be on-call every fifth weekend responding to emergency calls.
We provide uniform shirts, tools and equipment, and will reimburse you for safety shoes and work pants after 3 months with us.
After 3 months you will be eligible for our health plan which includes specialists, vision care, dental, and prescriptions.
About you
You must have your own vehicle to which you have constant access and valid insurance. You must also be eligible to be insured on company vehicles.
You like to know how things work, and have experience working with hand tools and power tools.
You are comfortable on your feet for long stretches and can safely lift 50 lbs.
Home brewers and past brewery and bar staff make excellent draught technicians because they understand the basics of beer.
