Role Overview
We are looking for a strong, client-facing Senior Consultant who can independently solution, configure, build, and deliver finance transformation projects.
You will work directly with finance leaders to understand requirements, design scalable solutions, lead delivery, and drive user adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design
Lead discovery and requirements sessions with finance, FP&A, and operational stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into practical, scalable solution designs.
Challenge assumptions and guide clients toward better design decisions.
Design solutions that balance usability, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
Functional and Technical Delivery
Configure, build, test, and deliver solutions across Vena, Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and connected workflows.
Own workstreams through design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Troubleshoot issues and ensure outputs are accurate, controlled, and ready for handover.
Client-Facing Leadership
Act as a trusted day-to-day advisor and lead working sessions, walkthroughs, and demonstrations.
Communicate clearly with CFOs, Controllers, and FP&A leaders.
Proactively surface risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities throughout delivery.
Training and User Adoption
Design and deliver training sessions, user walkthroughs, and coaching.
Create documentation, user guides, and handover notes.
Drive adoption by making solutions intuitive and aligned with how finance teams work.
Project Execution
Independently manage projects or workstreams from kickoff through go-live.
Manage priorities, client requests, blockers, and follow-ups.
Escalate issues early and constructively when needed.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
Review deliverables for accuracy, usability, and completeness.
Capture lessons learned and contribute to Finaptive’s delivery methods.
Internal and Business Development
Contribute to our knowledge base, playbooks, templates, and solution patterns.
Support scoping, demonstrations, and proposals when needed.
Stay curious about new tools, platforms, and AI-enabled finance workflows.
Required Experience
Four or more years of experience in finance transformation, EPM/CPM implementation, FP&A systems, BI/reporting, or a related delivery role.
Direct experience working with finance, accounting, FP&A, or operational stakeholders.
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, consolidations, and financial modelling.
Hands-on experience configuring or implementing finance systems, planning models, dashboards, or integrations.
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
Proven ability to lead client conversations, working sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
Proven ability to manage multiple client priorities concurrently.
Strong written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Technical and Platform Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is strongly preferred:
Platforms: Vena, Power BI, and Advanced Excel.
ERP systems: NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle.
EPM/CPM platforms: Prophix, Workday Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Planful, OneStream, or Oracle EPM.
Data: SQL, data models, data warehouses, or data integration.
Reporting: Financial reporting, planning, consolidation, or management reporting.
Nice to Have
Consulting or client-facing professional services experience.
Experience with Vena implementations or post-go-live optimization.
Experience with Power BI, SQL, data integration, or finance data architecture.
Experience creating training materials or internal best-practice content.
Pre-sales experience, including scoping, demonstrations, or proposal support.
