We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for sourcing and booking third-party carriers, managing shipments, and—most importantly—building and maintaining strong relationships within our carrier network.
This role is highly collaborative in nature. Success comes from developing trust with carriers, understanding their strengths, and working closely with them to create consistent, reliable capacity for our customers. The goal is not just to cover loads, but to build a robust, dependable carrier network that supports long-term service and pricing stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and secure capacity with third-party carriers for customer shipments
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with carriers across key lanes
- Collaborate closely with carriers to understand their equipment, availability, and service strengths
- Coordinate shipments from pickup through delivery, ensuring service expectations are met
- Monitor loads in transit and proactively resolve service issues or delays
- Enter and manage load details within the TMS (TransPlus Fleet Manager)
- Review and interpret customer requests (email, PDF, etc.) and translate them into executable shipments
- Provide consistent communication and operational support to carriers throughout each load
- Ensure accurate rate confirmations, documentation, and shipment details
- Work with internal teams to align pricing, service strategy, and customer expectations

- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Clear and professional communication skills (phone and email)
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on execution and accountability
- Experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or carrier procurement is an asset
- Familiarity with load boards such as Loadlink and DAT is an asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
