Join our dynamic cannabis cultivation team as a Cannabis Farming Production Associate! In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the healthy growth and quality of our cannabis plants through hands-on farming activities. Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, transplanting, pruning, and harvesting cannabis plants according to established protocols
- Maintain optimal environmental conditions by monitoring irrigation systems, adjusting climate controls, and ensuring proper ventilation
- Operate farm machinery and power tools safely for tasks such as soil preparation, planting, and equipment maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of crops for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Perform heavy lifting of supplies, plants, and equipment to support daily farm operations
- Maintain accurate records of planting schedules, growth progress, and harvest data using basic math skills for data entry and analysis
- Support general maintenance tasks on farm infrastructure, including fences, irrigation lines, and grow rooms
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on irrigation systems and farm machinery
- Experience with irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality
- Knowledge of horticulture principles to promote healthy plant growth and optimize yields
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or other farm machinery safely and efficiently
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for routine maintenance and setup tasks
- Strong basic math skills for measurements, inventory tracking, and data recording
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking in various weather conditions
