We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting Machineries & containers to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing heavy equipment and driving commercial vehicles.
Duties
- Operate commercial trucks to deliver freight across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load and unload heavy equipment, containers and any other type of machinery as needed
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, including basic automotive repairs when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow safety procedures at all times to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues
Skills
- Minimum 2 years of valid driving experience.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, and other industrial machinery
- Knowledge of freight handling, loading, and unloading procedures
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
