JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Supply Chain Manager provides leadership for LiftWerx’s end-to-end supply chain including strategic sourcing, procurement, MRO procurement, inventory management, warehousing and supplier performance. The role is responsible for developing a high-performing team, ensuring materials are available to safely execute field operations, optimizing working capital, delivering cost efficiencies and building strategic supplier partnerships. The Supply Chain Manager partners with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and HSE to deliver reliable, scalable supply chain capabilities that support LiftWerx’s continued growth across multiple field sites and our central office / warehouse location.
LOCATION:
This is an on-site position, based out of our Cambridge, ON office. Hours of work are Monday – Friday for 40 hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership & People Development — Build, coach and develop a high-performing procurement and materials management team; establish goals, accountability, succession planning and employee development.
- Strategic Sourcing — Develop category strategies, negotiate contracts, reduce total cost of ownership and build strategic supplier partnerships.
- Procurement Operations — Lead purchasing activities ensuring timely procurement of materials, equipment and services.
- Inventory Management — Optimize inventory levels, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, min/max strategies, inventory turns and working capital.
- Warehouse Operations — Lead warehousing, receiving, kitting, staging and material distribution supporting field execution.
- MRO Procurement — Ensure availability of critical maintenance, repair and operating materials while minimizing excess inventory.
- Supplier Performance — Develop supplier scorecards, business reviews and continuous improvement plans.
- Financial Management — Deliver procurement savings, monitor spend, improve cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Supply Chain Risk — Develop contingency plans for critical suppliers and long lead-time materials.
- Cross-Functional Leadership — Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and HSE to support project readiness and execution.
- Continuous Improvement — Lead Lean initiatives, standard work, ERP optimization and process automation.
- Systems & Analytics — Own procurement records, reports and KPIs including supplier OTIF, inventory accuracy, inventory turns, material availability, supplier quality, internal customer satisfaction and procurement savings.
- Governance — Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements and ethical sourcing standards.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as SCMP, CIPS, CPPM, or CSCP or equivalent deisgnation preferred.
Experience
- 7-10 years of progressive procurement / supply chain experience with 3+ years leading teams.
- Experience in industrial services, construction, manufacturing, heavy equipment or renewable energy.
- Strong leadership, coaching, negotiation, ERP (Microsoft Business Central preferred), analytical, financial and change management skills.
- Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience is considered an asset.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency with procurement software, experience with Microsoft Dynamics is considered an asset.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Knowledge of RFQs, RFPs, and vendor evaluation methodologies.

Salary:$115,000 – 143,000
