Maple Leaf Place, a 20,000 square foot one-stop-shop souvenir store, and attraction has been serving international tourists in Niagara Falls for over 30 years.
At this time we have positions available for line cooks/food production & cashiers/hosts staff for our remodeled cafeteria style food court.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, mature, energetic, and positive. They must be available with flexible schedules during the tourist season (Spring through to Fall) for day, evening, and weekend shifts. During peak season we are open from 9:00AM – 6:00PM.
Hours of Work
Full time and part time hours are available.
Duties
Your main duties will be preparing and serving food to customers in a fast-paced environment, including proper food handling. At times you may need to assist on the computerized cash register; processing transactions on debit/credit card terminals; handling both Canadian and U.S. currency. You will also be expected to clean tables, trays, etc.
This position requires the candidate to be able to work under pressure and give attention to detail, as you are responsible for serving and cashing out a large number of customers with organization and fluidity.
Skills Required
Experience in food service and food handler certification is required.
SMART SERVE is an asset.
Specific training will be provided for food service preparation, serving customers, proper clean-up procedures, operating the cash register, and handling U.S. and Canadian currency exchange.
