Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Body Shop Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dealership or automotive body shop environment and possess a strong mechanical aptitude. This role involves repairing, restoring, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. The Body Shop Technician will work with various tools and equipment to perform repairs efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall success of our service department.
Duties
- Perform vehicle body repairs including dent removal, panel alignment, and frame straightening
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to complete repairs
- Conduct automotive repairs such as replacing panels, repairing or replacing glass, and refinishing surfaces
- Assess damage and determine necessary repairs in accordance with dealership standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs
- Follow safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines during all repair procedures
Requirements
- Previous dealership or automotive body shop experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Experience with automotive repair processes including dent removal, panel replacement, and refinishing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Mechanic experience is highly desirable but not mandatory
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods during repairs
Pay: $17.60-$38.84 per hour
