Agriculture Service Technician – Full Time
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Agriculture Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical background, be comfortable working with telemetry systems, and have some electrical experience — while electrical experience is an asset, formal certification as an electrician is not required. This role requires an individual who is self-sufficient, possesses excellent critical thinking skills, and can work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting irrigation systems in various agricultural settings, often in remote locations. Including but not limited to: pivot systems, pump systems, variable frequency drives, and GPS systems. Strong customer service skills are essential as you will interact directly with Delta's customers to ensure their irrigation systems are functioning optimally.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair agricultural irrigation systems, including mechanical, electrical, and telemetry components.
- Field Coordinate delivery and inventory of irrigation systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in irrigation systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Work independently in remote locations, often with no supervision.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and solve complex problems.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Travel frequently to various job sites, sometimes staying overnight in remote areas.
- Document all work performed, including detailed service reports.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and work safe regulations while working on-site.

What You Offer
- Proven experience in mechanical systems, preferably with some experience in irrigation or agricultural equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Electrical experience is an asset; experience with telemetry systems and remote monitoring tech is also a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in remote settings.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate on larger projects.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Level One First Aid (preferred) or willing to obtain.
Pay: $35.00-$39.00 per hour
