IDEA Lab Kids St. Albert is a hands-on STEAM enrichment centre where children explore science, technology, engineering, art, and culinary creativity through engaging camps, classes, and events.
We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic Assistant Camp Instructors to support our summer camp team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, love learning, and want to gain valuable experience in education and leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Assist Lead Instructors in delivering fun and engaging daily camp activities
- Help set up and organize materials and supplies
- Support children during projects, experiments, games, and transitions
- Encourage participation and positive behavior
- Assist with snack and lunch supervision
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe program spaces
- Support birthday parties and special events as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to children and families

- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Interested in STEAM, culinary arts, and hands-on learning
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age by the start of employment
- Experience working with children is an asset but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- Applicants who are 18 years of age or older must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to employment
