Description:
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager for a long-term contract. The ideal candidate would have 8+ years experience in this field.
Key Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the business needs and create a project management plan that aligns with the strategic objectives
- Coordinate and organize all internal resources to ensure punctual delivery of finalized projects within scope and budget
- Develop, plan, and analyze the required resources and standards of the project
- Conduct team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
- Recommend IT strategies, policies, and procedures by identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements
- Assign and oversee the daily tasks of team members while ensuring all subordinates are actively working towards established milestones
- Monitor all phases of the project, expenditures, and implementing change where necessary
- Provide detailed root analysis on deployment actions, successful or un-successful, as required
Key Competencies and Experience:
- Must have 8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager in a software development environment
- Must have a strong technical background in end-to-end software projects with strong SDLC methodologies experience
- Knowledge and experience in Agile Processes and procedures (including SAFe framework, metrics, and in the implementation of Agile Release Train)
- Background in information technology management
- Certified SAFe Program Consultant, Certified SAFe Scrum Master (Scaled Agile) or SAFe Release Train Engineer considered an asset
- Experience with Web Services, API, and Data Modelling
- Experience managing in a telecom or software IT industry is considered a strong asset
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, and experience providing guidance in these areas for others
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising teams
- Experience working in a high-level fast paced IT environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
