We are seeking a passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency. As Chef de Partie, you will oversee your designated station, support junior team members, and contribute to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain your assigned kitchen section during preparation and service.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to Lou Pécou's standards and recipes.
- Execute mise en place efficiently and maintain readiness for service.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and proper storage procedures.
- Uphold exceptional standards of cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization.
- Support the training and development of Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and culinary team on seasonal menu development and daily specials.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and minimizing food waste.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude and contribute to a strong team culture.
- Demonstrate adaptability and composure in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to advance.
- Passion for artisan cooking, fermentation, and working with high-quality ingredients.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary education is considered an asset but is not essential.
