Position Title: Utility Operator
Salary Range: $42 per hour + OT
We are on the hunt for a Utility Operator for our client’s mining operations located in the Northwest Territories. Our client operates a fly-in/fly-out camp facility. The rotation is 14 days on, 14 days off; flights are paid, camp and meals are provided, and the company provides PPE. Pay is $42/hr + OT after 8 hours per day. This is a contract assignment, with a minimum of 3 months of work and possible extension. We are looking for a candidate with experience moving equipment around site, including seacans, Genie lifts, and forklifts, as well as operating light vehicles, small buses, and oversized trucks. The successful candidate will also assist with crusher operations and support the concrete plant as needed. Experience operating a tow haul would be a significant asset.
Medical, criminal, drug & alcohol checks, and references are required. Work is expected to start in early July.
We prefer someone is who not working.

Main Accountabilities:
- Move equipment and materials around site, including seacans, Genie lifts, forklifts, and other site equipment.
- Operate light vehicles, small buses, and oversized trucks safely and efficiently.
- Assist with crusher operations and provide support at the concrete plant as required.
- Follow all site safety procedures and support general site logistics and material handling activities.
Main Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment
- Previous experience in a Mine, Aggregate or Oil and Gas environment
- Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
- Ability to work in harsh weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision
- Previous fly-in/fly-out experience an asset
- Must be able to identify hazards and perform the role in a safe manner
- Must also possess an understanding of the issues regarding safety and the ability to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment
CERTIFICATIONS or Credentials
All of the below are assets to have - we will review on a case by case basis
- CSTS-09 or Other Safety Training
- Valid Class 5 license or related/equivalent with a clean drivers abstract
- Valid Ground Disturbance Level 2 or related training
Heavy Equipment Operators Certificate
