Location: Scarborough, Ontario (onsite 5 days/week)
Rate: $24.00 to 25.00 per hour

Job Statement
Supervise and coordinate activities of sanitation personnel.
Job Requirements
- Accountable for plant sanitation, plant cleaning and house keeping
- Knowledgeable about SSOP’s & responsible for implementing new SSOP’s
- Ensure that work safety, food safety and personal safety requirements are met
- Working closely with the Sanitation Supervisor, provide sanitation team members with training in cleaning methods according to SSOP’s
- Supervise sanitation team and follow up to check if jobs are complete
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with managers, supervisors and team members regarding safety issues and assigned daily tasks
- Problem solving attitude and ability to develop more cost effective cleaning procedures
- All other duties as required
- Heavy lifting is required (up to 25kg)
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- May be required to perform repetitive motions
- May engage in bending, stooping or squatting
- Due to the environment, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions which include extreme heat, humidity and cold
- Must be able to work in tight or enclosed spaces
Health and Safety
- Conduct work in a Safe and Responsible manner.
- Participate in all Health and Safety, GMP and HACCP training as required.
- Report any accidents, incidents and unsafe/hazardous conditions to your leadhand/supervisor.
- Report any damages of property and machinery to your supervisor.
- Ensure that you understand how and when to use the Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) that is located in your work area.
- Ensure you comply with OHSA, WSIB, MOL regulations and/or laws that govern “workers” responsibilities in the workplace and comply with Tradition Fine Foods Ltd. Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices, and HACCP Programs
Qualifications
- Education equivalent to the completion of grade 12
- Must have basic Maintenance and Math skills
- 1 – 3 years previous manufacturing Sanitation experience (preferably in food)
- Experience in a plant supervisory position (preferably in food manufacturing) would be a strong asset
- Ability to maintain working relationship with coworkers and subordinates
- Available for shift work
- Forklift driving/safety training (certificate) would be an asset
- Must maintain good attendance
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills – Word, Excel etc.
- Flexible to work different work schedules when needed
- Work Schedule: Nights plus some weekends when required.
