Job Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and demonstrate a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety protocols, adhering to the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and Health and Safety guidelines.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including floors, restrooms, break rooms, and production floor (including some machines)
- Use appropriate sanitation supplies and equipment to ensure effective sanitation practices.
- Use of chemicals and sanitation products in a safe manner
- Follow cleaning procedures and rules as described in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health and Safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning tasks.
- Assist in production areas, complete other tasks as required
Skills
- Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred)
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial roles is preferred (industrial sanitation preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols effectively
- Good physical stamina; ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required
- Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
