Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Person to join our team at Lorco Management. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and appearance of sports fields, contributing to our mission of providing top-notch facilities for athletes. The position is based in Canada.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All applicants must hold a class 5 drivers license and provide drivers abstract (employers standard for approval)
- Must have own, reliable vehicle to commute to and from job site
- Responsible for his/her own safety as well as the safety of those around them.
- Competent to work with team or alone
- Required to follow all health and safety policies as well as job procedures set out by Lorco Management and/ or contractors.
- Maintaining sport – fields and areas in clean condition (sweeping dugout, picking up litter, and debris)
- Good communication with management to ensure the success of tournaments and other events.
- Inspection of equipment safety and report any mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems to mechanic or supervisor. Perform cleaning duties to include equipment, daily work trucks, shop/ storage facility etc.
- Operate line trimmer, blower and other small hand-held tools
- Operate tractor, drive to and from fields on roadways
- Experience in driving and towing/ tie down of heavy equipment and capable to back up and maneuver pick-up truck with 30ft trailer.
- Must be flexible/accommodating to work late nights, early mornings and weekend to accommodate tournament schedules.
- Painting, chalk and grooming of sports fields
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Must currently reside in Fort McMurray, AB
- Hold CSTS or willing to obtain prior to start of work
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
