We are looking for a warm, reliable, and genuinely interactive nanny to become a consistent part of our family's daily routine. This is a structured, hands-on role — you will be actively playing with, engaging, and supervising young children, not watching from the sidelines. The role also includes light housekeeping, and has been deliberately designed with realistic time blocks so that neither the childcare nor the household tasks feel rushed or overwhelming.
If you thrive on energy, routine, and real connection with kids, this role was built for you.
BRIEF OVERVIEW
Location: Private home in Beddington, NW (Calgary)
Children: Three children - Ayden (7), Zayn (5), and Remy (2)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Saturdays (optional) 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Additional hours)
Compensation: $18– $22/hour, based on experience and fit
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Light housekeeping is completed during a dedicated, focused block of time while the children are at school. This role does not require balancing cleaning and childcare simultaneously.
- Complete light household chores related to the children and home, as outlined in a daily task list
- Reheat and serve pre-prepared dinners and prepare the eating area
- Supervise and assist with dinner for all three children, including hands-on help for younger children and reminders and gentle encouragement for older ones who may need redirection
- Supervise evening showers for all three children, ensuring no child is left unattended. Younger children require hands-on assistance with washing and drying; older children may need light support during drying off
- Supervise free play, encouraging independence and self-directed activity while stepping in to engage and redirect as needed
- Assist with scheduled outings when needed (entry passes and costs covered; outings typically occur on Saturdays)
Bedtime and the formal wind-down routine are a family moment — occasional light assistance with the transition may be needed
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow structured routines
- Comfortable with light housekeeping as a core part of the role
- Clear spoken English with good pronunciation that’s easy for children to understand
- High-energy, positive, and interactive personality and a genuine interest in working with children
- Minimum 6 months of consistent, scheduled childcare experience with children aged 2 to 8 (e.g., weekly or multi-day care, not occasional babysitting)
- First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Able to pass a clean background check
