About the Opportunity:
TNC is hiring several qualified Pipe Layers for work in and around the Kelowna area. TNC offers full time Monday to Friday employment with opportunities for paid overtime.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Civil construction experience required, local Okanagan experience is an asset
- 5+ years as pipe layer would be an asset
- Ability to operate heavy machinery is an asset
- Able to read blueprints and understand applications
- Valid class 5 drivers license, with reliable transportation
- Good physical condition, able to lift 50lbs repetitively if needed
- Good communication skills, speaking positively and effectively as needed
- First Aid certification is an asset
- Confined space certification is an asset
- Flexible schedule is an asset
- Topcon GPS experience would be an asset
- Excellent punctuality and attendance
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily/weekly site meetings
- Understand WorksafeBC safety policies and comply while executing daily tasks
- Follow direction from site supervisor, however can work on own with minimal supervision
- Install under ground water, storm and sanitary pipe
- Accurate reporting of daily time to supervisor via electronic submission
