Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring excellent service and clear communication. This role requires a blend of technical understanding and exceptional interpersonal skills to facilitate efficient service delivery and foster customer loyalty.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle service needs
- Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing accurate estimates and timelines
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs, ensuring timely completion
- Maintain detailed records of all services performed, including parts used and labor hours
- Upsell additional services when appropriate, based on customer needs and vehicle condition
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Assist in managing the service department’s workflow to optimize productivity and customer experience
Experience
- Previous experience in an automotive service environment is preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with familiarity of vehicle systems and repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in layman's terms
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
