Overview
Roof Tile Management Inc. (RTM) is seeking an experienced Payroll & Administrative Clerk to join our Mississauga office.
This role is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining employee records, completing required payroll remittances, and supporting day-to-day administrative functions.
The successful candidate will be organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with hourly and salaried employees in a busy construction environment. Accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
Role & Responsibilities
- Calculate and process approved employee timesheets and payroll
- Enter payroll information into QuickBooks, QuickBooks Time, and Excel
- Process new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and employee information
- Calculate overtime, statutory holiday pay, and payroll adjustments
- Prepare Records of Employment
- Process WSIB, EHT, RRSP, payroll taxes, and related remittances
- Complete payroll journal entries
- Maintain confidential payroll and employee records
- Enter new employees and training certificates into the 4S COR system
- Process employee expenses
- Book hotels for employees working out of town and process hotel invoices
- Answer the main phone line and receive packages
- Support general office administration as required
Qualifications
- Previous payroll processing experience required
- Strong knowledge of Ontario and Canadian payroll requirements
- Experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Time preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills are required
- Construction industry experience is an asset
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification is an asset
RTM has been in business for over 40 years established Canadian construction and heritage restoration company. We are looking for someone who will take ownership of the payroll process, maintain accurate records, and support the office team as the company continues to grow.
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
