About the Position
We are seeking experienced and motivated Carpenters to join our commercial tilt-up concrete construction team. This role focuses on constructing and installing concrete formwork systems, layout work, embeds, blockouts, and other components required for the casting and erection of tilt-up concrete panels on commercial and industrial projects.
The successful candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and remove concrete formwork for slabs and tilt-up wall panels.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform layout and measurement work to ensure accuracy.
- Install embeds, reveals, blockouts, and lifting hardware as required.
- Assist with panel casting and erection preparations.
- Ensure work is completed to quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with site supervisors, labourers, and equipment operators.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Carpenter certification preferred; experienced apprentices will be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of formwork or concrete construction experience.
- Experience with commercial concrete construction is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to project sites.
