Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license, familiarity with commercial driving, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. The Delivery Driver plays a vital role in maintaining our company's reputation for prompt and efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts and other heavy machinery when required.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse duties including freight handling, inventory management, and organization of delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues.
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including receipts, delivery logs, and vehicle inspection reports.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for vehicle maintenance needs.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery schedules.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in various weather conditions. This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of our logistics team by ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards across all operations.
Pay: $17.20-$30.32 per hour
