Group Benefits Proposal & Implementation Specialist
Canadian Benefit Providers is a leading Third-Party Administrator and Claims Payor specializing in Group Benefits. Our services are distributed through an independent Broker network.
The Group Benefits Proposal & Implementation Specialist role is responsible for providing timely quoting, new group implementation and ongoing plan changes, as well as preparing the renewal data for the Department Team Lead.
Location: Working Remotely
Role: Under general direction and supervision of the Business Services Team Lead, this role involves preparing quote proposals, implementing new group plans, processing ongoing plan changes, and compiling renewal data for review. This role will work closely with many internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinating all aspects of benefits marketing including preparation of specifications, responding to carrier inquiries, summarization and comparison of all quotes received
- Preparing quote proposal documentation for Team Lead prior to sending to our Broker/Advisor distribution network
- Prepare and perform initial analysis of rates for ASO Health & Dental products
- Creation and coordination of all contracts required during the group implementation process
- Update and maintain group client documentation and files
- Process mid-term policy changes
- Prepare renewal documentation
- Maintain close working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting additional projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years previous related experience in a Group Insurance position (experience in Individual Insurance will be considered)
- Previous underwriting experience is considered an asset
- Excellent communications skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated proficiency with Intermediate-to-Advanced Level Microsoft Excel and Word applications
- Successful completion of two introductory courses in the CEBS or FLMI programs (or equivalent), or LLQP, Life and/or A&S License would be beneficial
