Essential Functions
a. Core Job Duties
- Bank Rec - oversees reconciliation of all bank accounts on a daily basis;
- Month End – execute the month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations and review draft financial statement for various entities
- Reconciliations – perform monthly reconciliations of AR, Payroll, Inter-Company accounts
- Schedules - manage balance sheet schedules - fixed assets, prepaids, accruals and intercompany
- Allocations - create month end allocation of corporate expenses among branches
- Variance analysis - review budget variances, make reclass entries, and provide insightful explanations to leadership
- Financial Packages – prepare monthly financial packages (statements, dashboards) for various entities
- Financial System understands the workings of the reporting system and be responsible for reporting integrity, accuracy, completeness and timeliness
- Audit Support – year end audit processes, working closely with external auditors.
- Equity tracking – update the share register
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Analyze claims data and make recommendations to bring down claims ratios
- Monitor and report monthly on contingent profits for the network
- Team mentoring - Guiding junior account staff, reviewing their work, and helping them develop.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies
b. Treasury Management
- Monitor the cash pool for the group of companies;
- Support inter-company borrowings to minimize interest cost for branches;
- Manages bank accounts and make payments to key vendors.
c. Risk Management
- Ensures compliance with internal controls;
- Contributes to enhancing the system of internal controls.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Publication of monthly financial statements and KPI reports by 6th working day of every month
- No material errors in month-end reports/ reconciliations
- All balance sheet accounts reconciled every month
- All bank accounts reconciled every day
- Inter-company borrowings optimized across all branches to minimize interest cost
TEAM SUPPORT
- Be familiar with and follow company policies and procedures as established (Employee Handbook, Finance policies and procedures, etc.).
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and company functions.
- Demonstrate good leadership qualities with a positive attitude and ability to motivate others.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years’ experience with full cycle accounting
- Financial modelling skills using advanced excel functions
- Strong analytical skills to review financials and identify business issues
- Advanced critical thinking skills to solve business problems
- Professional demeanour and ability to safeguard confidential information
- Team player with the ability to build relationships across the organization
- CPA preferred
