Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and cooking, with a passion for delivering excellent food service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist in food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within a restaurant or food service setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
- Familiarity with restaurant service standards and customer satisfaction principles
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed
