We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional who takes pride in food quality, consistency, and teamwork while working in a scenic mountain resort environment.
Position Summary
The Chef de Partie plays a key role in daily kitchen operations by overseeing an assigned station and ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards established by the Executive Chef
- Manage and maintain an assigned kitchen station during service
- Attend daily kitchen briefings regarding inventory, features, events, and operational updates
- Ensure all food products are prepared, stored, and served according to food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all preparation and storage areas
- Monitor food quality, consistency, and plate presentation throughout service
- Complete prep lists, production sheets, labeling, dating, and rotation of products
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces remain clean and sanitary
- Support banquet and event preparation as required
- Communicate effectively with team members and alternate shifts to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all sanitation, WHMIS, and workplace safety standards
- Assist other stations and team members as needed during service
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment focused on teamwork and guest satisfaction
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in all areas of kitchen operation (vegetables, meat, sauces, and Garde Manger).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and shifts and holidays.
- Knowledgeable of recent culinary trends and cooking styles.
