Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving a tandem dump truck safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport material to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and receipts.
- Communicate effectively with other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
