Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our team in providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server/Cashier plays a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently, handling cash handling and cashiering duties with accuracy
- Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling and sanitation tasks as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
