```Duties```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm appointments, both in-person and over the phone
- Collect and update patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
- Manage patient flow, ensuring efficient and timely service
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
```Qualifications```
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting preferred

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
MEDICAL OFFICE ADMINSTRATOR POSITION
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Grade 12 plus graduate of a recognized office administration/business/secretarial program or an equivalent combination of education and training.
Proficiency in Med Access is an asset (electronic medical record)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong organizational, time management and planning/prioritization skills
Competencies in other languages preferred.

SALARY $17-$20 /hour depending on prior experience
Three days paid sick leave
As per NS labor laws -2 weeks pay worth 4% of your annual gross income by end of 12 months
