Looking to fill two skilled position. Minimum 3 years experience finishing concrete in the Ottawa area. The ideal candidate must be driven to work long summer hours and be dedicated to providing a professional product. Strada does not operate on volume type projects, we are looking for skilled finishers who want to improve their craft and show pride in their work.
Type of work:
- Municipal curbs, sidewalks, retaining walls.
- Structural slabs, splash pads and architectural finishes in City of Ottawa parks.
- Architectural walls and flatwork for condo towers and private projects.
Mandatory Experience:
- Plan/ Blueprint reading, line and grade.
- General form setting and rough carpentry.
- Complete understanding of flatwork finishes including spin floating, polishing, brooming and stamped concrete.
- General reinforcing and rebar tying.
- Control joint layout and early entry saw cutting.
- Specific knowledge of City of Ottawa and OPSS/OPSD requirements, practices and limitations.
- Health and Safety practices on commercial and municipal project.
Requirements:
- G License with clean abstract.
- Steel toe boots and rubber boots for concrete.
- Hard hat and vest.
Tools and other PPE supplied by Strada.

Pay: $31.80-$36.50 per hour
