Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Service and repair large machinery such as trucks, trailers, excavators, forklifts, and farm machinery with precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on automotive systems, HVAC units, and other mechanical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance procedures or testing phases to ensure proper functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain detailed service records for all maintenance activities performed.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble new equipment or parts as needed for ongoing projects.
Skills
- Valid Licensed 310T certification with extensive experience in heavy vehicle repair.
- Proven dealership experience or similar background working with heavy machinery brands and other industrial equipment manufacturers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across a variety of systems including electrical, hydraulic, air, and mechanical components.
- Proficiency with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Hands-on experience with trucks, trailers, excavator operation, forklift servicing, and agricultural machinery repair.
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly or repair tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
