Job Summary
Salt+Sol is a high-volume, award-winning waterfront destination (Ranked #15 in Curated’s 50 Best). We are looking for an Operations Lead who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the owner mindset to lead a team through intense busy rushes with ease. This is a high-visibility role that requires a balance of culinary precision and operational command.
Availability: Weekend and holiday availability is strictly required (May–October).
Responsibilities
- You must be a "Master Floater"—capable of jumping onto the Griddle, Fryer, or Salad station at any moment.
- Inspect every plate for 100% accuracy and garnishes. You are the final check for quality and food safety compliance.
- Operational Coaching: Use our "See One, Do One, Lead One" philosophy to train staff on speed and efficiency.
- Lead the team through opening/closing checklists. Constant cleaning routines -High Priority.
- Handle customer complaints and complex service recoveries instantly.
- Cash handling
- Shift Command: Assign station responsibilities
- Manage inventory, predicting order needs and tracking daily stock levels
- Sysco ordering
- Labor optimization through accurate scheduling.
- Reporting: provide a brief end-of-shift report on team performance.
Culture Guardian: Ensure there is a healthy environment for the team, no gossip, conflict resolution, maintaining a professional environment.
Experience
- Previous Kitchen management experience (1 full year minimum)
- Decisiveness under pressure
- Leadership skills - the ability to set the pace for the entire team.
- Coachability – You must be able to take direct feedback and implement it instantly. You will also be in charge of coaching others (using the "See One, Do One, Lead One" method)
- Core Values: Reliability, Speed, Punctuality and Stability.,
- Square POS knowledge (not required)

- You must have the ability to stay calm when the ticket board is full.
