Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive electrical project estimates, supporting project planning, and ensuring profitability. Duties
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects using industry-standard software such as Accubid and Bluebeam.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and material requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
- Develop accurate cost projections for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Assist in bid preparation by compiling comprehensive proposals that meet client specifications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current market prices for electrical materials and labor rates.
- Support project management teams during project execution by providing cost analysis and change order estimates.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies throughout the estimating process.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Accubid and Bluebeam.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Effective project management abilities to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously.
- Solid knowledge of pricing strategies within the construction industry.
- Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
