Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, assisting with product selection, and ensuring an excellent shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for retail sales and customer service. Experience with POS systems, merchandising, and e-commerce platforms is a plus. Bilingual abilities are welcomed to better serve diverse customer needs. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting products, including gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance items
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts processing
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and properly labeled
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays to attract customer attention
- Handle customer inquiries both in person and via e-commerce platforms
- Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and surrounding areas
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve store operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and merchandising techniques
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is desirable but not required
- Organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain store presentation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service
- Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms is advantageous
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: $16.75-$17.00 per hour
