We are looking for an Interior Designer with real project experience to support both commercial and residential projects, including concept development, design refinement, interior modelling, and rendering.
The ideal candidate should not only be proficient in design software, but also have strong aesthetic judgment, spatial awareness, and the ability to think independently. You should be able to analyze project needs, functionality, and design direction, develop thoughtful design solutions, and refine concepts based on actual dimensions, materials, construction logic, and budget.
This role requires strong execution skills and efficiency. We value practical project experience more than software knowledge alone. You should have a solid understanding of spatial proportions, material coordination, lighting, millwork, common construction methods, and practical dimensions, as well as an efficient and well-developed modelling and rendering workflow.
We are also looking for someone who keeps up with current trends in interior design, materials, visual presentation, and social media.
Requirements
- Real interior design project experience; commercial or residential experience is acceptable
- Proficient in SketchUp or 3ds Max
- Proficient in D5 Render, V-Ray, or other interior rendering software
- Able to independently handle space planning, design development, interior modelling, material selection, and rendering
- Strong aesthetic judgment and a good sense of space, proportion, materials, and lighting
- Able to think independently, solve problems, and provide practical design suggestions
- Understanding of common interior materials, construction methods, millwork, and practical dimensions
- Able to work efficiently and complete models and renderings within project deadlines
- Strong awareness of current interior design and visual presentation trends
- Experience with AI-assisted design, image generation, image enhancement, or content creation tools is preferred
- Familiarity with Ontario design standards and common North American dimensions is preferred
- Graphic design, website maintenance, promotional material, or social media content experience is an asset
- Chinese or Korean language skills are preferred
