Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeping Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by completing administrative duties and supporting with various bookkeeping/accounting tasks. This role is essential in maintaining and enhancing customer and community relations and ensuring the smooth operation of our processes in an efficient, timely, and professional manner.
Duties
- Promotes and maintains a positive image for the business and contributes to a pleasant working environment.
- Completes invoicing & data entry for client files
- Supports Clients with onsite bookkeeping and monthly reconciliation process
- Provides exceptional and professional customer support (in person or virtual) for any client inquiries, questions, or concerns.
- Completes and administers various reports and documents for management as requested.
- Utilizes accounting software such as QuickBooks for data entry, invoicing, and reporting.
- Assists with Office Administration Duties
- Follows-up with Clients for required paperwork or missing information to ensure their accounts remain in good standing
- Assists Clients with virtual office administrative duties
- Teaches Clients Intro to Quick Books
- Maintains organized financial documents and records for easy retrieval.
- Collaborates with team members to streamline bookkeeping/accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years of previous experience in bookkeeping/accounting is required.
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks desktop and QBO is required.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suites
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact and assist with in-person and virtual office clients' requests.
- Enjoys working and collaborating as a part of a team
Education Requirements
- A Certificate and/or Degree in Accounting, from a reputable College or University
