Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role is essential in providing AMAZING customer service, ensuring smooth operations at the front counter, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Square
- Engage with guests, create conversations and not rush orders
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling and processing payments efficiently
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation protocols
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the front counter area, dining space, and service stations
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred highly
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Experience with food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
