Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Site Supervisor to oversee builder activity within an active residential development site. This role acts as the Developer’s on-site representative and is responsible for monitoring overall site conditions, builder compliance, cleanliness, safety, and construction-related impacts to public areas and municipal infrastructure.
This position is ideally suited for a retired or semi-retired individual with previous experience in residential construction, site supervision, civil construction, or development operations.
The successful candidate will serve as the “eyes and ears” of the Developer on site and play an important role in maintaining a professional, organized, and well-managed construction environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Monitoring & Builder Oversight
- Conduct routine inspections of active construction areas throughout the development.
- Monitor builder activity to ensure construction operations are being carried out in a clean, organized, and respectful manner.
- Observe and report on overall development activity, progress, and site conditions.
- Act as the Developer’s on-site representative and maintain regular communication with builders and the development team.
Site Cleanliness & Debris Management
- Ensure builders maintain clean and orderly lots and construction areas.
- Confirm construction waste bins are present on active lots and are being emptied regularly.
- Monitor for debris, garbage, packaging, or loose materials entering roadways, sidewalks, parks, pathways, or adjacent properties.
- Coordinate or perform minor cleanup efforts when necessary to maintain site appearance and public safety.
- Notify builders promptly regarding deficiencies, cleanup requirements, or ongoing site maintenance concerns.
Roadway & Erosion Control Coordination
- Monitor roadways for mud tracking, sediment buildup, and construction-related debris.
- Coordinate with street sweeping contractors as required, particularly following rainfall events or periods of heavy construction activity.
- Assist in identifying erosion control concerns and escalating issues to the appropriate parties.
- Help ensure public roads and municipal infrastructure remain in acceptable condition.
Builder Compliance & After-Hours Activity
- Monitor construction activity to help ensure builders comply with approved construction hours and municipal requirements.
- Observe and document after-hours construction activity or other non-compliant behavior.
- Communicate concerns and incidents to builders and the Developer in a timely manner.
- Assist in reducing complaints from municipalities, residents, and adjacent stakeholders.
Reporting & Communication
- Maintain regular communication with the Developer regarding site conditions, builder performance, deficiencies, and concerns.
- Provide written or photo-based updates as required.
- Document recurring issues, violations, or maintenance concerns.
- Coordinate with contractors, municipal representatives, and service providers when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential construction, land development, civil construction, site supervision, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and builder practices.
- Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with builders, contractors, and municipal representatives.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Strong observational and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of site safety, erosion control, and construction housekeeping practices.
- Comfortable walking active construction sites and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

- Hours and schedule may vary depending on construction activity. Position will start at 12-14 hours per week with increase in hours as additional site supervision needed.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
