Cashier/Clerk – Sunworks Farm
Sunworks Farm, founded by Ron and Sheila Hamilton near Armena, Alberta, has been producing certified organic, pasture-raised meat since 1997. Position Overview
This is a front-line, customer-facing role for someone who truly loves people. As a Cashier / Clerk, you are the face of Sunworks at the market - greeting customers, sharing product knowledge, answering questions, and helping create a warm, positive shopping experience every time.
You’ll handle transactions, support restocking and displays, keep the store clean and organized, and jump in wherever needed during busy store hours. We’re especially looking for extroverted, customer-centric team members who are energized by conversation, enjoy building relationships with regular customers, and take pride in delivering great service. If you’re upbeat, reliable, and enjoy working in a lively, team-driven environment, this role is a great fit.
Work Locations
Shifts will be scheduled at the following retail locations:
- Calgary Farmers’ Market West
- Calgary Farmers’ Market South
- Crossroads Market
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the cashier counter and process sales accurately
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions responsibly
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Answer basic product and pricing questions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail area
- Represent Sunworks Farm professionally and warmly at all times
- Work at different retail locations as scheduled
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Early morning availability preferred (shifts may start as early as 7:00 AM)
- Weekend availability required
- Reliable transportation to travel between retail locations
- Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is required
