Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development & Employer Relations Officer to drive strategic partnerships and foster meaningful relationships with employers and industry stakeholders. Duties

- Analyze labor market trends, employer needs, and industry feedback to inform program development and partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate recruitment efforts by interviewing prospective employer partners, understanding their staffing needs, and aligning them with suitable candidates.
- Maintain detailed records of employer interactions using PeopleSoft or Ellucian systems, ensuring accurate documentation of engagement activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design tailored employer solutions that support workforce development goals.
- Organize events such as job fairs, networking sessions, and informational seminars to facilitate connections between employers and job seekers.
Experience
- Proven experience in public speaking, teaching, or facilitating workshops in a professional setting.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret labor market data and employer feedback effectively.
- Prior experience in recruiting or interviewing candidates, with a focus on understanding client needs and organizational fit.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft or Ellucian systems for data management and reporting purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships through outreach, negotiation, and active listening.
- Experience working in workforce development, career services, or related fields is highly desirable.
